Personal Profile
Abu earned his M.Sc. (B.Sc. equivalent in Canada) in Geology from University of Peshawar, Pakistan followed by two years field and office training under CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) from 1992 to 1994. From 1994 to 1997, Sam worked for state owned OGDC (Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd.) as a Wellsite Geologist on 70 wells, both shallow and deep. Then He worked for Dubai Petroleum Company under Halliburton U.A.E. for a year and supervised 6 multilateral wells and 1 vertical well. Sam returned to Pakistan and did the geological supervision on 10 deep condensate wells under Mari Gas Company Ltd. and returned to Halliburton to supervise 5 multi-lateral horizontals for ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia. Sam returned to Pakistan and did the geological supervision on 20 oil and gas wells for Orient Petroleum Inc. With 127wells to his credit, Sam immigrated to Canada in 2005 and immediately landed a job with Wellsite Geologists Inc., (formerly Running Horse Resources Inc.) Domestically, He has supervised 79 wells to date. Abu is an excellent communicator and Wellsite Geologist who draws from both his international and domestic experiences.
